Commercial Façade Improvement Program
The Commercial Façade Improvement Program is a grant program of Fostering Commercial Urban Strategies (FOCUS) Initiative. Any property or tenant in the City of Indianapolis is eligible to apply; however preference will be given to buildings located on a designated FOCUS Business District. The program funds up to 50% of total project costs, up to $20,000. Applications are accepted in February and June each year.
Technical Assistance
The Technical Assistance program provides small grants ona competitive basis to CDCs to help them partner with and secure commercial real estate expertise for early-stage commercial development activities. CDCs have access to an experienced Commercial Development Consultant. This program supports building capacity of business owners.
Brownfield Redevelopment Fund
Through a partnership with the City of Indianapolis, non-profit organizations can remove environmental barriers and spur redevelopment at brownfield sites through the Brownfield Redevelopment Fun, which provides grants up to $10,000. For profit ventures are also supported through this program as a matching grant up to $10,000.
Seed Funds and Project Loans
Local Initiative Support Corportaion offers assistance to community-based organizations through flexible financing, training and technical assistance predevelopment and construction activities at commercial industrial and community facilities.
