Snips Marketplace in Historic Irvington
As a member of the Historic Irvington Community, we pride ourselves in our commitment to play an active role in neighborhood events and happenings. Starting with our Salon & Spa, which opened in 2001, we have slowly been expanding our offerings to also include a natural market and a variety of specialty shops.

Salon & Spa
Snips Salon & Spa, nestled in the heart of the Historic Irvington Business District, is the area’s only full service salon. We strive to be the best source of style and fashion for the East Side of Indianapolis. The staff at Snips is dedicated to providing their clients with a focused wellness approach in their services.

Edibles
Edibles, a natural market, features products from grass-fed beef that has no added hormones or antibiotics. These products come from local farms such as Traders Point Creamery, Apple Family Farms, and the Swiss Connection. Also included in the healthy alternatives is hormone-free pork from the Hill Family Farm in Greenfield. Rounding out the items in Edibles are fresh baked goods from Dufour’s in Irvington and The Legend, gourmet chocolates from Ghyslain, and coffee beans from Lazy Daze. Stop in and enjoy a cup of Snips’ special blend tea from our tea importer, Cuppatea.

The Shops at Snips
Surrounded by three courtyards, the Shops at Snips utilize a historic facility that once housed The Trader newspaper and combines small shops with several social programs, such as the I.U. Kenya Imani Partnership, which helps HIV positive persons support themselves through sales of handmade crafts, and the Women’s Bean Project, which aids women recovering from domestic abuse. The Shops at Snips have become a leading example of how the neighborhood markets can thrive in the modern day.
