I’ve served as a registered agent for more than three years for American Family Insurance, which offers a full range of products, including vehicle, property, life, health, business and farm/ranch insurance, plus annuities and consumer loans. I always wanted to locate the agency in Irvington but was not able to find a suitable spot in the spring of 2004, so I moved into the Justus Building at 1398 N. Shadeland Ave. In the summer of 2006 space became available in Irvington and I moved into my present location at 5624 E Washington St., opening the same day as the Irvington Halloween Festival!
I grew up here in Irvington (on Ritter Avenue, where my parents still live), attended IPS #57 and graduated from Howe High School in 1983. I moved back in 1999 and into a house on North Downey Avenue by Community East Hospital. My daughter graduated from Scecina High School in 2006. I have always felt very close to Irvington. There is a spirit here that you typically only find in Small Town, America. I like that feeling and look forward to a long and prosperous future here.
