Amandula N. Anderson has served as IDO's East Washington Street Corridor Director since September 2006. Her position is funded by a three-year grant from the Fostering Commercial Urban Strategies Initiative, which has selected Irvington's Historic Business District as one of seven revitalization corridors in the city.
Anderson's role is to utilize her expertise and resources to revive, maintain and grow current businesses, initiate new development projects and act as a representative for the Irvington Development Organization.
An East Side native, Anderson graduated from Arlington High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a management concentration and two nonprofit management certificates from IUPUI. She worked as a program coordinator for the Indiana Achievement Awards before becoming the 16th & Meridian Street Initiative Coordinator in 2004.
